This year, ENR New York received multiple entries from two states, from which 20 winners were chosen. Growing up in Netivot, Israel Dana started her professional path when she joined the Israeli Defense Forces’ (IDF) Atidim program and awarded a scholarship for a Civil Engineering B.Sc. prior to mandatory service. She graduated from Technion, a top science and technology university and joined IDF’s Officers’ Academy. Membership is limited to the senior safety manager of an organization in the metropolitan New York area, with a limit on the total number of members. The purpose of SENY is to aid the progress of corporate level safety officers and executives; to advance the theory and practice of occupational safety; to provide a forum for corporate level safety officers and executives to meet and discuss current developments and problems affecting their positions as they relate to management affairs, professional development, and legislation; and to discuss topics of timely and general interest, trends, controls, and procedures as they relate to the safety profession.
