The project was to replace the existing poor condition bridge over the Delaware & Raritan Canal with a single-span bridge consisting of a concrete deck supported by galvanized steel beams founded on reinforced concrete abutments.The outer edge of the structure and concrete wingwalls feature a wood façade. The roadway configuration is two (2) 12’ lanes, two (2) 5’ shoulders and two (2)5’ wide timber sidewalks with concrete curbs. The project was coordinated with the Delaware & Raritan Canal Commission and Delaware & Raritan Canal State Park.
