ENOVATE RECEIVES NJ ALLIANCE FOR ACTION AWARD FOR MONMOUTH COUNTY PARKS PEDESTRIAN UNDERPASS PROJECT

New Jersey Alliance for Action awarded a 2019 Distinguished Engineering Award to Enovate for the company’s construction management activities and oversight on this important pedestrian safety project. This is the seventh annual award ceremony program honoring innovative, unique and outstanding engineering projects for their impact on the state's economy and environment.

Enovate has overseen the construction of this project from its inception in September 2018. The project is an important one for both Monmouth and Ocean Counties as it joins the two together by linking downtown New Egypt and the southern terminus of the Union Transportation Trail. By overseeing the construction of the underpass (made with a concrete box culvert), Enovate is helping to ensure safe access for trail users to cross Monmouth County into Ocean County by providing a safe link for people to use a local, non-motorized transportation system within their local community and the adjacent region.

"As Program Manager and Chief Landscape Architect of CR-537 Pedestrian Underpass project, I have had the opportunity to work with Enovate on this very important project for the past year” said Andy North of Monmouth County Parks. “I have consistently found their management to be among ‘best of class’ in Quality Control, Schedule, Cost Management and overall project administration. Their tough but firm approach to construction management produced a cooperative project team and unparalleled project control. We are pleased to hear about this award."

As roads in the western parts of Monmouth and Ocean become busier, these safe corridors are a welcome addition to the region’s preserved parkland.
