UBS Arena, Belmont Park Redevelopment

A $1.3B redevelopment of Belmont Park is transforming surplus land at the Long Island site into the 745,000-square foot UBS Arena, new home of the New York Islanders, a new hotel, an approximately 1,500 space, six-level parking garage and a 340,000-square foot retail village composed of outdoor stores, boutiques, and restaurants. Enovate has provided Environmental Compliance Monitoring and Inspection Services for all phases of the project. We have been on site multiple times a week and have inspected contractor operations to ensure environmental compliance of construction activities and protection of public inlets and sewers and nearby residential properties and highways from generated construction waste and pollution. We have provided these services as a subconsultant to AKRF, Inc., who is serving as Empire State Development’s (ESD) Prime Environmental Impact Statement and Environmental Compliance Consultant on the project. This project has won two awards from ACEC, NY - a Gold Engineering Excellence Award for Phase I in 2023 and a Silver Engineering Excellence Award for Phase II in 2024.
