MTA C&D ADA Upgrades and Station Improvements - Update

project details

Enovate has been entrusted with the responsibility of administering and overseeing accessibility upgrades at 8 stations located in various boroughs of New York City. The primary objective of this project is to enhance accessibility and ensure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements. First there will be an evaluation of the platform configuration at each station to determine the number of elevators required and their optimal placement for accessibility then coordinating the installation process. Excavations will be conducted. This will involve expanding the or mezzanines, creating sufficient space for the elevators. Platform and mezzanine extension and re-framing form an essential part of the project as well as electrical power upgrades at the stations. Enovate will oversee the necessary enhancements to the electrical power infrastructure to accommodate the additional elevators and new elevator machine rooms. Utility relocation of existing public utilities in the streets and transit utilities within platforms and mezzanines Furthermore, Enovate will realign the tracks to correspond with the new platform edges, ensuring proper alignment and clearance for trains. Lastly, we will conduct state-of-good repairs in coordination with the accessibility upgrades.
